What the Service Provides
These pages point toward CCSO, municipal police, North Carolina courts, NCDAC, federal locators, news sources, and outside search tools. They do not store official records, confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file a court request. A linked agency controls its own record and response.
Public-record law, including North Carolina Chapter 132 and § 132-1.4, does not make every image or investigative file automatically available. A booking or wanted entry is an accusation or agency notice, not a finding of guilt.
Rules for Acceptable Use
Visitors agree to use the pages lawfully and with respect for other people.
- Do not break a law while using the service.
- Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or target a person based on a record.
- Do not use site content for any FCRA-covered decision or screening purpose.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass controls, or probe a linked system.
- Do not run bots or scrapers against the service or disrupt access for others.
Not an FCRA Consumer Report
This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through these pages.
Visitors agree not to use content for hiring or firing, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness or insurance premiums, licensing or government-program eligibility, or any other purpose covered by FCRA rules. Records are provided for source navigation, personal notification, public-record research, and court or agency processes.
Links to Outside Sources
Links lead to jail and custody reports, police and sheriff pages, courts, NCDAC, BOP, ICE, news sites, and third-party search services. Outside operators control their content, privacy practices, pricing, uptime, and terms. A link is not an endorsement, guarantee, or agency relationship. Review the destination’s terms before submitting information.
Information Provided As Is
Pages are supplied “as is.” No promise is made that content is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, free of bugs, or exhaustive. Custody status, court events, agency policies, addresses, fees, and links can change. Nothing is an official statement by CCSO, a city police department, a jail, a court, or another government body.
Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and its owners are not liable for damages, loss, or claims arising from access to, reliance on, or inability to use these pages or an outside service. Some jurisdictions limit these exclusions, so the maximum protection allowed by law applies.
Indemnification
A visitor agrees to protect and hold harmless the service, its owners, and its partners from claims, damages, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from the visitor’s use, violation of these terms, unlawful conduct, or misuse of records.
Ownership of Materials
Text, graphics, logos, and code belonging to Columbus County Busted Mugshots or its content partners remain protected property. Copying, distributing, modifying, or republishing them requires written permission, except for rights supplied by law or by the linked source’s own terms.
Changes and Access
Terms may be revised at any time. New terms apply when posted. Access may also be limited, suspended, or blocked for any reason, with or without notice, including abuse, security concerns, or a breach of these rules.
North Carolina Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Disputes must be filed in courts located within North Carolina unless applicable law requires another forum.
Severability and Questions
If a court finds one provision invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable. Questions about these terms may be sent through Contact Us.
